PART-TIME PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER
1.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalency
certificate
·
Ability to pass and maintain
certification for E911/VESTA and CJIS
·
Required to work nights, holidays and
weekends
·
Computer familiarity
·
No significant criminal record
·
Ability to multi-task and work under
pressure
·
Experience preferred but will train
the right person DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of
the Chief of Police and head dispatcher who will provide training,
assign work and review performance. Receive business and emergency calls
for service for the Sterling Police Department, Fire Department and
Light Department. Dispatch emergency units. Work closely with police and
fire officials.
SALARY The current rate of
pay is $13.36 per hour. FILING DEADLINE Candidates must submit a cover letter and personal resume to the Chief of Police, Sterling Police, 135 Leominster RD, Sterling MA 01564. No later then 15 June 2008.
