OPEN POSITION

 

FULL-TIME PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER

 

1.      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

 

·         High School Diploma or equivalency certificate

·         Ability to pass and maintain certification for E911/VESTA and CJIS

·         Required to work nights, holidays and weekends

·         Computer familiarity 

·         No significant criminal record

·         Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Under the direction of the Chief of Police and head dispatcher who will provide training, assign work and review performance. Receive business and emergency calls for service for the Sterling Police Department, Fire Department and Light Department. Dispatch emergency units. Work closely with police and fire officials.

 

SALARY

 

The current rate of pay is $13.36 per hour.
